A272 Virtual Desktop InfrastructureEngineer Avirtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) engineer is responsible for architecting,planning, and implementing desktop virtualization technology -- which enablesusers of endpoint devices to access an operating system and apps, delivered bya networked server or cloud data center. Duties and Responsibilities • Extensiveexperience in designing & supporting Azure Managed Services Operations. • Maintainingthe Azure Active Directory and Azure AD authentication. • Azureupdate management – Handling updates/Patching. • Goodunderstanding of Azure services (Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure StorageAccount, etc). • Understandingof load balancers, DNS, virtual networks, NSG and firewalls in cloud environment. • ARMtemplates writing, setup automation for resources provisioning. • Knowledgeon Azure automation and Automation Desire State Configuration. • Goodunderstanding of High Availability and Auto scaling. • AzureBackups and ASR (Azure Site Recovery) • AzureMonitoring and Configuration monitoring (performance metrics, OMS) • WindowsVirtual Desktop (Native Azure WVD) • Deploymenttools Kaseya, SCCM any other tools. • ApplicationPackaging & App-V. • Goodknowledge on any other Migration tools • MaintainsVMs or containers. • UtilizesDISA STIGs to harden and secure network and security devices. • Evaluatesservices and products provided by COTS/GOTS vendors and providesrecommendations. • Understandsof data structures and design of highly available systems • Developscapabilities that quickly process and provide to end user critical datarequests. • Developsanalytics supporting cyber security use cases that support decision aids at thestrategic, operational and tactical levels of OCIO. • Establishand maintain regular written and in-person communications with theorganization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, andend users regarding pertinent network activities. • Directand administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and wherenecessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action. • Collaboratewith end users and senior management to define business requirements forcomplex network development and gain buy-in for all network architecture plans. • Manageand set priorities for the architectural design, maintenance, development, andevaluation of all network infrastructures, including LANs, WANs, VMs, Internet,intranet, security, wireless implementations, and so on. • Conductfeasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and otherconversions. Education: 1. Bachelor'sor master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science 2. Theequivalent combination of education and successful work experience (15 years)and 3. Azureor VMware Workspace/Horizon Certification in specialized areas is a Must. Qualifications: Experience: 1. 10years' experience managing, developing, and delivering strategic networkarchitectural design and operational excellence. 2. 10years' experience designing enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, VMs, virtualnetworks, etc. 3. Excellentknowledge of current protocols and standards 4. Experiencewith programming languages such as powershell 5. Strongcollaboration and interpersonal skills 6. Strongknowledge of scaled systems, ability to identify problem areas, uphold networkquality, and drive design 7. Experton of WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi technology 8. Strongknowledge of IT security requirements and experience working with informationsecurity 9. Experiencewith Lean IT concepts 10. Experiencewith Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 11. Knowledgeand understanding of system flow charts, traffic flow, and data processingconcepts. 12. Knowledgeof applicable data privacy practices and laws. 13. Extensiveexperience with developing strategic plans. 14. Exceptionalanalytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. 15. Exceptionalunderstanding of the organization's goals and objectives. 16. Provenexperience with network capacity planning, network security principles, andgeneral network management best practices.
