Position Summary The Sr. Requirements Analyst interfaces with the business and program areas to understand their product needs. From this understanding, the Sr. Requirements Analyst will work with the Project Manager and the business to define the scope of a project/release, develop use case models, create activity diagrams, and write user stories, use cases and supplemental specifications to describe the application requirements to support the project scope. The Analyst must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be sensitive to the changing needs of the business, be able to analyze problems and recommend solutions, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
SAT Analyst responsibilities: · Leading the requirements elicitation and documentation for the system requirements. · Manage backlog of requests. · Developing user stories, use cases, and supplemental specifications. · Lead and manage requirements reviews with key stakeholders. · Manage and lead working sessions which involves writing meeting agendas, stakeholder identification, meeting notes, and track and follow through on open questions and action items. · Create and manage external system requirements to external vendors.
General Responsibilities · Be the leader and employ College Board best practices in defining and baselining requirements, creating a use case model and activity diagrams, developing system level use cases and supplemental specifications. · Demonstrate the ability to define, analyze and translate both functional and non-functional business requirements into activity diagrams, system use cases and supplemental specifications. · Lead the review and sign-off of requirements artifacts. After sign-off, effectively manage the requirements change process, following College Board practices. · Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, verifiable, and that they conform to College Board standards. · Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and problems, and recommend solutions either at the project or program level, taking into consideration enterprise-level initiatives. · Work with the Project Manager to define release scope, identify dependencies, and to provide time estimates for the work being requested. · Ask probing questions to fully understand business requirements and provide feedback to the business on the implications of requests. · Quickly understand issues and challenges faced by the business. Accurately and concisely articulate issues, risks, questions, and recommendations to customers, team members and management · Build and maintain highly effective relationships with all College Board teams and vendors. Ensure relationships with the customers and cross-team members are professional and meet management expectations. · Develop and maintain advanced expertise and an in-depth understanding and use of RUP, Agile, and SDLC methodologies. · Recommend improvements to methodologies in order to more effectively deliver requirements and support the business and IT. · Act as a liaison between the business representatives and IT, providing insight to each team of the others needs and expectations. · Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. | |
