Job Title:Solaris Administrator Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: Contract Job Description:  Graduate in any stream. More than 5 years Exp. in Solaris. Installation and configuration of Sun Solaris 10 on Sun Sparc servers and x86 machines. Performing Advanced Installation like Jumpstart. O. S. Patching, Firmware Patching of Solaris servers. System performance monitoring (Memory, CPU, I/O contention, network etc) Excellent Administration skills of Solaris volume manager (SVM) and Veritas Volume manager (VXVM) Troubleshooting all server related issues. Good Knowledge of Different services- NFS, Sendmail, Samba, NTP, SSH, SNMP, FTP. Good knowledge of Veritas Cluster & Storage foundation for Oracle RAC. Installation & troubleshooting knowledge of third party tools like- Netbackup client, Power Path Installation. Good communication skills. Knowledge of Incident management, Change management and Problem management. Installation and configuration of RedHat Linux an Incident Management + Change Management (Planning & Execution) on - call Escalation Ticket Quality Process adherence & Security compliance Customer feedback (Appreciations, CSAT survey results) KB preparation and review, Knowledge sharing & documentation Root cause analysis / Problem Management + Capacity / Architectural Management SLA compliance for tickets Value Add Training / Mentoring.
