Key Responsibilities are: • The Quality Engineering Test Lead serves as a leader of quality practices, mentor of team members, innovator of solutions, and gatekeeper of quality for the agile teams. • Ensure that agile teams deliver solutions to our customers that meet the highest standards of quality and satisfaction. • Ensure automated testing instils trust in the solutions delivered through our continuous delivery pipeline in the cloud. • Ensure that agile teams develop to the highest standards of internal quality, meeting all goals, controls and targets • Drive the advancement of a testing culture within agile teams: adoption of unit testing, alignment of automated testing to the continuous delivery pipeline, metrics analysis, testing strategies, bug prevention strategies • Ensure the quality and coverage of test plans, including test automation, higher functional coverage and execution for all BCUS’s technology solutions • Provide cross team/cross project requirement analysis, impact analysis, risk analysis, and test collaboration for all active projects and programs in their domain • Demonstrate creative knowledge on how to break software by finding bugs, and apply this knowledge with measurable result, impacting the quality of the product..
Delivery o Review requirements and design specifications with an emphasis towards product testability o Assess Epic/Project/Program level test requirements with Test Engineers, Software Engineers in Test, Software Engineers, and Product Owners using collaborative test planning process. Ensure all Epic/Project/Program level impacts and risks are accounted for in plan. o Ensure test coverage developed and delivered by agile teams covers all acceptance and functional testing required through review and feedback on the test plans o Ensure agile teams are maximizing the efficiency and efficacy of automated testing being delivered as part of the overall test plan o Ensure agile teams are maximizing the coverage and efficacy of unit testing and component testing as part of the overall test plan through review and feedback of the xUnit testing o Assess non-QA testing being performed against application o Ensure existing test suites are routinely evaluated and maintained to provide required level of coverage o Ensure all required governance is met, including traceability of testing across all layers and test types o Identify and report risks associated with development and delivery o Identify, implement, manage and report appropriate metrics o Work with the Quality Assurance organization to ensure established procedures, standards and processes are utilized consistently o Maintain quality standards for own work; detail-oriented o Develop and sustain positive relationships with peers
Administration o Manage the adherence and quality of all Administrative responsibilities according to prescribed timelines including: § Performance Development Process § Timesheets § Information Security Training and Acceptable Use Policy submissions o Support Quality Assurance goals o Adhere to all Barclays, Barclaycard, BCUS and BTG standards, policies and governance practices
Required • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with proven record of delivering excellence • Demonstrable record of innovation and quality advancements • Expertise using one or more BDD tools with exceptional skills in writing acceptance testing (pref. Cucumber) • Experience working in Test Driven Development (TDD) environment with ability to evaluate effectiveness of code coverage • Experience working in one or more agile development environments (perf. Scrum, Kanban) • Expertise in delivering automated testing for continuous integration/continuous delivery model in cloud environment with in-depth understanding of the supporting infrastructure • Good coding skills in one more of: Java, C/C++, VB.NET, Groovy, Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl • Good SQL knowledge and able to create and work with databases • Domain background of Banking / Credit Card industry • BS/BE/BA in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Preferred qualifications: • 10+ years experience with software Quality Assurance/Information Technology • Experience with TSYS, Linux OS, and deep understanding of internet technologies and security protocols. • Certifications or higher degrees MS / PhD • Extensive exposure in executing projects, product implementation and application development in banking and security domains. • Expertise in Test estimations and Budgeting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, conduct interviews and make presentations effectively • Experience using Quality Center for reporting and metrics
