Hi, Partner Please find the below position.     Position: Network Test engineer Location: Herndon, VA Duration: Long Term   Role Description: This engineer will need to have solid experience with network engineering preferably in a Cable MSO environment, working in all aspects of data network engineering, from core layer-1 fabric switching and routing, to transport and backbone fiber layers as well as experience and expertise with lab testing of simulated networks using COT’s testing tools and platforms. Someone with experience with or understanding of the Qualisystem Resource Manager Product, and Studio product will be helpful, but must have experience with testing in this area, especially with automation testing. The objective and primary goal for this resource is to enable customer to make better utilization of the automation tools they have today for easier faster configuration of network testing and to eliminate the extensive manual LOE currently required to configure and setup testing".   - Test Automation - creation of component based automated test scripts based on business function - Systems Integration Testing - design and execution of manual and automated test cases using industry standard tools - Implement tests through Python and Shell scripting - Work closely with R&D to get unit tests extended - Extend test coverage. Improve test methodologies and processes - Create and review test plans, test cases, and test specifications - Manage activities to meet their delivery dates and report accurate, complete status - Take initiative to improve products, tools, process, and help improve product documentation - File and monitor bug reports and contribute to the development and execution of system level tests   Required Skills:   - Automation Testing - COTS - Qualisystem Resource Manager Product - good to have - Studio product   Requirements   - Network virtualization techniques, experience in management & orchestration tools. - Strong familiarity with Networking layers 2 and 3 protocols and Network Management. - Working knowledge of SNMP, NetConf, HTTP, XML - Virtualization: - Cloud concept - Experience with relational DB access, SOAP or web services in Java a plus (Software Engineering, Quality Assurance and Systems Analysis)   Proficiency with one or more of the following scripting languages:  - Scripting: Tcl, Perl, Expect, Ruby, Python - Experience in C++, Java are plus - Eager to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment - Able to break down and creatively solve problems - Flexible and adaptable at applying skills to different situations - Proactively seeks out new challenges in a culture of continuous improvement - Good listener and collaborator with attention to detail - Minimum of 7 years experience in Software Testing   Regards, Archana Archana Bharti Technical Recruiter Contact No : 804-410-0066 X 112 E-mail: archana@dtscinc.com
